Peskesi

In the centre of the city of Heraklion, in a quiet pedestrian street just a few minutes away from the heart of the city, you can find Peskesi Restaurant.

The restaurant stays in an old mansion renovated very carefully, with great respect to the character and the energy of the old building. The stone walls were maintained and cared properly and are combined with coated surfaces of Kourasanit, in a deep green colour.

The floor was lined with mosaic tiles in brown earthy tones and the lighting, which was specially designed, has been done with led lights. One of the rooms in the mansion is transformed into a bar.In this small but atmospheric place the wooden ceilings have been restored and the chandeliers that once decorated the house have been placed over the bar.

In each of the other rooms was given special feature, such as ceiling beams tied with ropes and a modern manufacture of sheet metal in geometric design, while tied ropes across the courtyard with wooden pegs give it the appearance of an old clothes hanger.

All those decorative elements were chosen in addition to recall the past.
