Tomata

The Tomata Restaurant, winner of several Golden Chef’s Hat awards, is a space of powerful resonance.

When the need for refurbishmentoccurred, Tomata was renovated to create a cosmopolitan setting with a contemporary Greek identity. The underlyingintention is to offer the guest a gastronomic journey, starting with the influences of the past and bringing him forward to the culinaryapproaches of the present day.

Every aspect of the two-storey restaurant is designed to create a total harmony of space, landscapeand human presence.

Wooden surfaces and floors, pastel colours, a hint of French provincial, as in the big wooden dresser in the interiorspace, chairs and couches with light cushions in pale green, and the herb garden to the rear of the restaurant – every detail evokes agreeablememories and generates positive emotions.

From the second floor - one large space with windows at both ends -there are views of the Aegean and the Sani Marina.

With sea to bothsides the visitor has the sense of being on an island.

In terms of the menu, tradition is used as the basis for development of a Greek cuisine with a contemporary attitude.

Eminent chef Chrysanthos Karamolengos produces dishes based on local, seasonal produce – every ingredient being grown within 100miles of the point of use. This is an international trend, reflecting ecological sensitivities and with obvious economic benefits for the localcommunity and its producers.
