Savvikos is one of the oldest grill house chains, primarily engaged in Thessaloniki.

The owners are dedicated to develop the businessfurther and to create a network of grill houses not only in Greece but also abroad. The experience that the Savvikos familyhas is the guarantee on this project. The project concerns the complete renewal of the image of the grill house, beginning withthe oldest one on Politechniou Street. The aim is to create a more qualitative and friendly interior in perfect correspondence withthe quality of food and the service towards the customers. The main feature and what represents the Savvikos grill house is none other thanthe quality of the materials, which are carefully selected, and the cooking performance, which tries to maintain the traditional flavor combiningit with elements of modern gastronomy.Based on these data, the choices that were made during the design, from the initial idea to the last detail, summarized in two words are:simplicity and tradition.

These two words express the design as well as the product as it is in the best way. Used mainly natural materials orotherwise materials in primary form, without fioritures and excesses .The wood paneling and mosaic floors are a reference to the Greekcharacter and tradition .The cement and white tile adduce a more modern character that retains simply characteristics. The four basic materialsplaced in space in such a way as to bring back memories and recollections that have been lost and to remind us all those old eatinghabits that are altered by the modern lifestyle.The "custom made" lamps, with bright shades of red and black color, refer to fire and charcoal reminding customers the most traditionalway of cooking.

The great wall illustrates Savvikos or otherwise the “Grandfather” of the family driving the first movable grill house. The formof the grandfather disintegrates and decomposes gradually while maintaining the principles and values unchanged in time. The presenceof the grandfather, even in this way, acts as a safety valve for the grill house, which does not disappear but is trying to be maintained and tomutate into something new, keeping all those elements that brought it up here. Moreover the beautiful picture is never the aim, the commongoal between the owners and designers is content creation and timeless acceptance by the people.
