The two architectural concepts are ideally combined to create a warm and welcoming interior space for quality food or coffee in a new venue in the suburb of Agios Stefanos, some 30km north of Athens city center. The restaurant area occupies two floors, interconnected via a two-story section. Bright colors that blend harmoniously together, tall tables and stools that exude a relaxed mood, warm and natural materials are combined with neon lights and graphics that mark the new image of the Burger House.

The area of the counter maintains the natural materials that have been incorporated in the concept and the kitchen is separated from the hall by a semi-permeable frame, forming a light volume that allows the partial communication of the internal functioning of the restaurant with the visitor. The welcoming atmosphere continues in the upper floor, with its roof being dominated by an impressive and extensive graphic that animates the space and creates a colorful backdrop for furniture and lighting fixtures. In the coffee shop section the bar counter lowers in height in order to provide full view of the coffee ritual in the eyes of the customers, while large scale coffee silos and metal meshes with hidden lighting are placed in the background creating a refined industrial setting.

Metal shelves with items that recount the origins of coffee: burlap sacks, containers, packages of coffees, pastries and jars, are suspended from the ceiling above the bar counter. Selected natural materials, such as brick, wood, white tiles placed diagonally, forged cement, metal, blackboards are used in the bar area and throughout the space. Semi-transparent dividers and low libraries define individual spaces, creating a friendly atmosphere, with special lighting and bulbs enhancing the industrial aesthetic of the store. In accordance with the materials, comfortable and cozy furniture placed around large tables, gather large groups of friends or bring together smaller groups, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The new identity of Flocafé Espresso Room focuses on the journey of coffee that starts from the country of origin and passes through the hands of qualified baristas before reaching each customer’s cup that can be enjoyed in a welcoming environment of high aesthetics.
