Deloitte
Office Building in Patras
The listed building shell of the early 20th century warehouse which was restored, is punctured by orthogonal windows, and by the characteristic ventilation holes of the former use. Internally, the building structure was replaced by a new composite one. The levels of the slabs were re-configured in order to ensure enough headroom for the principal spaces.
A central square atrium enhances the natural light, and two staircases are created, with the main one bearing circular windows, a reference to the ventilation holes of the façade. The area of the 2.340 sq.m. of the building is stretched over 5 levels, and it now accommodates the new Deloitte offices in Patras.
On the ground floor are located the entrance, along with a waiting and recreational area, as well as seminar rooms, while on the first floor the refectory and office spaces to the south take up the floor.
