Having reached at Porto Heli coast, the ‘Nikki Beach’ logo sign that lights up on the façade of the building is visible to the left, on the road leading to Costa. Standing since the 70’s in the closed gulf of Porto Heli, formerly known as ‘Youli’, now takes new life having been fundamentally renovated to encapsulate the concept of ‘Nikki Beach’. The innovating design bears the brand of the Beirut based firm Gatserelia Design in collaboration with the Athens based architects Arch Group.

In the region of Argolis, it is a rare occasion of a resort that lies directly by the coast. The large pool of the Beach Club, which is open to day guests, is just a breath away from the seafront; as it is coupled with twin docks, the infamous ‘Nikki Beach’parties hosted there extend into the  Porto Heli sea basin.

The road façade of this four storey building is dressed with a white metal structure that stretches all the way to the rooftop covering part of it; with its triangular patterns, it creates an everchanging play with light and shade that resembles boat sails, which is the very essence of Porto Heli bay, safe haven to a multitude of yachts and sail boats.

 The building is minimally designed, with white volumes interrupted only by glass and complimented by gracefully integrated light metal structures, thus bringing no memory of its past form. During the nighttime, the careful white volumes become vivid with colourful lights, emanating the vitality pulse of its robust youthful character.

The hotel egress is accessed by sculptured curved stairs, delightfully matched with a playful pattern of suspended disks that form the porte-cochère. A separate outdoor access leading directly to the Beach Club lies right next to the porte-cochère, allowing day guests to just walk via a footpath through dense vegetation straight to the pool and the beach plaza.

On entering the hotel reception, the bar, lounge and dining areas are found in a continuous succession of spaces, all dressed in white finishes, with touches of timber, glass and colour, thus creating a light atmosphere of openness. At the far opposite end, an impressive sea view is strikingly revealed through wide glass partitions that embrace the outdoor activities taking place at the Beach Club and creating a unity of interplay between interior spaces and open air facilities. Large covered terraces escalate toward the coast, with alternating hard floor, sand and timber in a vivid flow curved shapes, that runs through the whole design concept; everything, furniture, lighting elements, arrangements,  are treated in the same mannerism of minimalistic plasticity. A circular pool bar with a playful array of suspended disks providing shade is the highlight of the Beach Club, sunk into the pool water for the bathers’ pleasure, while they laze in the sun or dance under the sounds of upbeat music. All over the decks and the beach, sun loungers are arranged in the same wavy manner, and nine VIP lounge areas are created for special guests.

All 66 hotel rooms have direct view to the Porto Heli bay, with stunning sunset vistas. In principle, they are all designed in the same fashion, but on plan, every room is unique and different, thus offering a wide variety of range in size, layout and features. White colour finishes prevail, alternating with glass partitions enclosing the bathrooms and mirror walls, while the whole setting is ingeniously lit with lighting fixtures embedded into the design elements offering a variety of mood modes. Sleeping is arranged on comfortable king-size beds while most rooms provide a full sized sitting area. The wet areas are large and functional while cupboards lie discreetly behind large panels. Textures, finishes and colour palette, all carefully selected to create a supreme ensemble, which is both cozy and spacious.

On the ground floor, 9 large luxurious suites are arranged either side of the common areas, with extended private terraces. Six of these suites feature a private pool on each of their terraces, with permanent daybeds at the edge of the pool water, offering space for private events and parties.

Each of the upper floors holds 19 rooms. All rooms have a comfortable balcony area, whilst occasionally the outdoor space becomes considerably larger, lavishly equipped with daybeds and amenities for outdoor dining. At the first floor, a large rooftop is divided to six private terraces that look into a reflection pool, whereas eight rooms of the third floor each have an additional rooftop terrace with a jaccuzzi, internally connected to the rooms.

When the central elevator doors open at the rooftop, the sushi restaurant is revealed, lying just further to the lit water feature, where the DJ booth is also found. Surrounded by glass parapets, nothing interferes with the magnificent sun-setting panoramas witnessed here, which mark the beginning of day at the rooftop restaurant, for haute cuisine dishes and exclusive drinks under the emerging night sky.

Όλα τα 66 δωμάτια βλέπουν στον κόλπο του Πόρτο Χέλι με εκπληκτική θέα στο ηλιοβασίλεμα. Όλα τα δωμάτια είναι σχεδιασμένα με τον ίδιο τρόπο, αλλά με βάση το σχέδιο, κάθε δωμάτιο είναι μοναδικό και διαφορετικό, προσφέροντας έτσι μια μεγάλη ποικιλία σε μέγεθος, διάταξη και χαρακτηριστικά στοιχεία. Τελειώματα με λευκό χρώμα επικρατούν και εναλλάσσονται με γυάλινα χωρίσματα που περικλείουν τα λουτρά και τους τοίχους με καθρέφτες, ενώ ολόκληρος ο χώρος φωτίζεται έξυπνα με φωτιστικά ενσωματωμένα στα στοιχεία σχεδίασης που προσφέρουν μια ποικιλία διαφορετικών μορφών διάθεσης. Για τον ύπνο προσφέρονται άνετα υπέρδιπλα κρεβάτια, ενώ τα περισσότερα δωμάτια παρέχουν πλήρους μεγέθους καθιστικό. Οι υγρές περιοχές είναι μεγάλες και λειτουργικές, ενώ ντουλάπες κρύβονται διακριτικά πίσω από τις μεγάλες επιφάνειες. Το διαφορετικό κάθε φορά ύφος, τα  τελειώματα και οι χρωματικές παλέτες,  είναι προσεκτικά επιλεγμένα ώστε να δημιουργούν ένα σύνολο υψηλής ποιότητας, συνδυάζοντας  άνεση και ευρυχωρία.

Στο ισόγειο, 9 μεγάλες πολυτελείς σουίτες είναι τοποθετημένες εκατέρωθεν των κοινόχρηστων χώρων, με εκτεταμένες ιδιωτικές βεράντες. Έξι από αυτές τις σουίτες διαθέτουν ιδιωτική πισίνα σε κάθε μία από τις βεράντες, με μόνιμα ανάκλιντρα στην άκρη της πισίνας, προσφέροντας χώρο για ιδιωτικές εκδηλώσεις και πάρτι.

Κάθε ένας από τους πάνω ορόφους  περιλαμβάνει 19 δωμάτια. Όλα τα δωμάτια διαθέτουν άνετο μπαλκόνι, ενώ κατά καιρούς το υπαίθριο τμήμα γίνεται πολύ μεγαλύτερο, πλουσιοπάροχα εξοπλισμένο με ανάκλιντρα και ανέσεις για υπαίθρια εστίαση. Στον πρώτο όροφο, μια μεγάλη ταράτσα χωρίζεται σε έξι ιδιωτικές βεράντες που βλέπουν σε μια πισίνα αντανάκλασης, ενώ οκτώ δωμάτια στον τρίτο όροφο διαθέτουν επιπλέον βεράντα στον τελευταίο όροφο με τζακούζι και εσωτερική σύνδεση με τα δωμάτια.

Όταν οι θύρες των εσωτερικών ανελκυστήρων φτάσουν στην οροφή, αποκαλύπτεται το εστιατόριο σούσι, που βρίσκεται ακριβώς μετά τη φωτισμένη υδάτινη διάταξη, εκεί όπου βρίσκεται επίσης και το περίπτερο του DJ. Περιβάλλεται από γυάλινα παραπέτα, τίποτα δεν παρεμβάλλεται στο υπέροχο πανοράμα της δύσης του ηλίου, που σηματοδοτεί την απαρχή της νύχτας στο εστιατόριο του τελευταίου ορόφου, με την υψηλής ποιότητας κουζίνα και τα επιλεγμένα ποτά κάτω από τον νυχτερινό ουρανό.
