Hōm Santorini
The hotel in Oia, with suites, a restaurant, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, and a bar, is developed on a sloping plot and has been completely renovated, in terms of function and aesthetics. The entrance is on the highest level. The reception is located on the first level, the swimming pool, and the restaurant bar on the second level, while two suites are on the first level, two on the second, seven on the third, and two on the fourth. All suites have their own independent balcony and jacuzzi, overlooking the sea and Thirasia, and offer great privacy to the occupants. In all areas of the hotel, a complete reconstruction was carried out, which concerns all construction works.
Modifications were made to the existing openings, additions, and extensions of the external spaces, for the better exploitation of the orientation and the view. The aim was to unify the final image of the hotel as a distinct whole, the functionality in all areas, the exploitation of the view and the orientation, and the respect of the local architectural idiom. With targeted interventions in each space separately, an attempt was made to create a familiar atmosphere, reminiscent of small independent residences and not a hotel style. Architectural and material elements were used, which blend with the local architecture, and all interventions were made with respect to the natural environment.
