Patriko
House in Chios
Located on a cliff, overlooking the town of Chios and the Aegean Archipelago, the paternal house (greek patriko/πατρικό) of an Athens and Stockholm based family has been restored in order to provide a peaceful holiday house while preserving its history.
The house originally built with thick stone walls about 80 years ago in different phases, is consisted of two storeys. The ground floor has the main living areas within it, adjusted to suit modern life. Therefore some parts of the existing division walls between original spaces have been removed in order to create a more unified living space suitable for family gatherings. The ground floor provides also a guest room with en-suite bathroom for family’s guests.
