Linear House

Linear House

Linear integration

The house is located on a verdant hillside of olive groves and forest in the area of Nafpaktia, with unobstructed views of the Corinthian Gulf. The simple shell was chosen for the building's unobtrusive integration and allows the natural landscape to dominate.

The linear layout on the east-west axis offers unobstructed views throughout. This is a ground floor duplex house, which has the ability to be altered and adapted to meet the future needs of a growing family.

Access is from the north side. The entrances for each dwelling are defined by two impressive canopies, which run vertically through the building and are found again on the south side façade. The continuity of the glazing on the north side is interrupted by surfaces with wooden panels, some fixed and others opening, varying the appearance through the day and through the seasons.
