House in Psychiko
Vibrant spaces in motion
The house is located in Psychiko, Attica, and was built in 2004-2005. In 2019, for the new owners, the interior of the house and the outdoor area were entirely redesigned. The main design idea for the interior of the house was not a static and heavy structure but a final feeling of vitality and movement. Each level of the building maintains large unitary spaces both functionally and aesthetically which can be separated.
Movable or fixed furniture, follow the same capability. Special movable acoustic partitions can transform the single space of the gym area and the home cinema into two separate rooms. On another level of the house, the living room and the kitchen area can be separated according to need with a movable glass partition.
The natural light is diffused through a large atrium on the ground floor. Visual communication is preserved between levels and the final feeling of a single space is accomplished but soundproofed isolated. In the staircase, on all floors, there have been designed illuminated showcases with exhibits and objects.
