Ezio Bo Mykonos
An incomparable oasis of tranquility.
Through the architectural study of an existing touristic complex in Platys Gialos, Mykonos, gnb architects aimed to achieve its functional and aesthetic upgrade to a modern and high standard hotel. By prioritizing the optimal functional organization of spaces and emphasizing the captivating sea views, the design team conducted experiments with the project's identity and morphological elements. Intermediate, semi-outdoor spaces, pergolas, and remarkable landscape alignments were utilized as tools.
The objective was to achieve a design composition that embodies harmony, balance, and unity, while establishing a fresh aesthetic identity for the hotel complex. The synthetic design approach of this hotel was guided by the following fundamental concepts: Creating a modern hotel structure that seamlessly blends with the idyllic and preserved surroundings of Mykonos, ensuring a balanced relationship between circulation and privacy, taking into consideration the breathtaking landscape views, facilitating smooth transitions between private and public spaces and skillfully integrating traditional and modern architectural elements to achieve a harmonious combination.
