Residence in the suburbs of Kos island
Mastrominas ARChitecture
The challenges for the renovation of this residence, initially built in 1922, were as many as the limitations. The surface is 280 square meters on a 650 square meters plot. An introvert garden surrounds the extroverted building: the continuous window walls unify the interior with the exterior, in a way that the garden intrudes into the sojourn spaces.
The swimming pool expands until the edge of the window walls. From the exterior, the space looks like floating on the water. The open plot ground floor is paved with wood. The custom made pendulous iron fire place, designed by the architect, permits see-through views from the living-room towards the swimming pool.
