Summer Villa in Sifnos 

 The harmonization in the Cycladic environment.

The seven-bedroom summer villa with unobstructed sea views, is located on the east side of the island. Although the project was planned to house two separate holiday villas, in the redesign phase, retaining the original building structure, reorganizing the spaces, and shaping the two volumes, a single house was created instead. As the outdoor area is the main living space, special attention was paid to its design. The building volumes are surrounded by individual courtyards and covered areas, with various spatial qualities, which compose the surrounding area of the house. In a single zone are the large outdoor living room, along with the dining room and the outdoor kitchen, while the smaller courtyards serve mainly the bedrooms. A linear pool, facing the sea, completes the outdoor area. The "pure" building volumes are governed by the Cycladic minimalism and the geometry of the "cube" of the traditional Aegean houses. Based on the architectural "simplicity", an environmentally harmonized composition of geometric volumes has been realized, which serves the functional needs of the luxury villa.
