KOIA
All-Suite Wellbeing Resort
in Kos
In an untouched natural landscape, with steep slopes and rich relief, characterized by two distinct hills, a hotel of one hundred beds was created, with emphasis on the privacy of the complex and the least possible disturbance of the unadulterated beauty of the environment.
The aim of the design was to preserve the morphology of the land, to exploit the slopes, which ensure sea views for all rooms and minimize the footprint of the composition, with the harmonious integration of the volumes.
Inspired by the castle of Kos, the countries of the islands, the dry stones, the Greek countryside and the tradition of Hippocrates' therapeutic herbs, the concept of the architectural proposal focused on the idea of a castle town, with low-rise buildings for better integration into the environment.
