House in Kryoneri

The project is a two-storey residence of 170 sq.m., hosting a family of five. It is located in a unique natural environment in Kryoneri, facing the nearby stream. The site ensures privacy, while also making the residence prominent and providing an unobstructed view to the lush surrounding vegetation.

A key design feature that differentiates the dwelling is the trapezoidal solid which envelops the last two levels. The compositional approach of the projecting prismatic form lends dynamism to the overall geometry of the building, aiming to make it stand out from the typical design of a roof house comprised of 3 levels. The ground floor consists of an open-plan living and kitchen area, with wide openings leading outdoors. Additionally, a pergola is created in order to connect the interior to the exterior, providing an outdoor living space hosting activities throughout the year.
