House in Ekali

Harmonious coexistence and variety 

The house is located in Ekali, Attica, and was built in 2002-2004. In 2021 the new owners requested that the building remain unchanged on the outside and undergo a large-scale renovation on the interior to express the different character of each member of their family. Therefore, in the new architectural proposal, the interior spaces were studied and constructed from scratch with their mobile and fixed equipment.

The mechanical equipment was significantly upgraded with new low-energy installations. On the ground floor of the house, the main living spaces around the entrance have clean-cut forms and simple design lines. On the first floor, in the private areas of the bedrooms, the modern but romantic and the luxurious but clean-cut style coexist. In the same style selection, the furniture and equipment were chosen or designed for each space. At the basement spaces, there was a requirement for extensive use of technology, audiovisual and social media applications.
