K8 is a part of the complex ''Pyli Ermou'', between Ermou and Astingos str. in central Athens. Multicomplex K8 is sharing with the under construction wine bar and italian reustaurant a patio with planted channels linning the walls, hanging outdoor seats through a color palette that emphasizes the morphology of neighborhood.
It is worth mentioning that the building 8 (K8) in early times was an inn where the ground floor housed the animals of travelers, the loft was the area in which the straw was placed and the first floor where there were the rooms. Upon entering the K8 behind the glass wall is located the scene for live concert, bar along the kitchen and wc and two staircases.
The first leads to the loft with the lounge seats and Dj deck, while the other to the first floor with the second bar where temporary exhibitions and privet parties take place, under the pitched glass roof.
Elements such as the 11 meter's hight moving metal construction shelves behind the bar, the sprung neon lighting structure , the coating technique on the walls that is combined with the street art etc. confirm the designer's aim to approach the industrial style in an alternative perspective. Last but not least it is remarkable the excellent acoustics of the area.
