CORA Hotel & Spa Resort Halkidiki

Unpretentious luxury.

In a privileged location in the Afitos area, with unobstructed views of the sea, is the CORA Hotel & Spa Resort. Built in the late 80's, the existing complex had an "earthy" architecture, with many references to traditional forms that characterised the tourism architecture of the time. Respecting the architecture of the building while minimising interventions on the facades were the main objectives of the redesign.

To meet the standards required for the re-opening of the complex as a modern tourist accommodation facility that is friendly, accessible and safe for all categories of users. The main design choices were aimed at: the utilization of the amphitheatrical organization of the buildings of the complex, oriented towards the sea and the exploitation of the natural slope of the site, with the multi-level arrangement of the public spaces above ground. To replenish the direct relationship with the water element.
