The building is a historic landmark of industrial architecture in the early thirties. An imposing building of 7,500 sq.m. with minimal architecture. The construction of the building took place in the decade between 1914-1924 which coincides with the “Golden Age” of tobacco.
Thirty years later, the warehouse’s future changed again, with the plans of a luxury hotel. The new owner company “Ergoepiskeves SA” completed the restoration of the building after five years of study and work with high sense of responsibility and absolute respect for the history of the monument and the region. The building has been converted into a modern, luxury hotel, having maintained its particular architectural elements. The Hydrama Grand Hotel is located at the centre of Drama, in front of the natural springs and lakes of Santa Barbara, which characterize Drama as "City of Water".
