The new five-star hotel resort, “Ikos Aria”, located in the captivating bay of Kefalos, in the southwest of the island of Kos, opened to receive its first guests in May 2019. It consists of both new-built and fully refurbished buildings, laid out on a plot of over 180 acres. “Ikos Aria” has 374 rooms and suites distributed between the five-storey main building, its supporting four wings and its 46 bungalows. It also has 8 restaurants, 12 bars, an open-air theatre and a kid’s club building. Moreover, the guest may stroll through a network of exciting routes amongst the greenery and the swimming pools of the complex. The prevailing beauty of the location is not limited only to the surrounding natural landscape, it merges with the built environment. In close proximity of the “Ikos Aria” premises, the guest can visit the early Byzantine Church of St. Stephanos and the small Church of St. Nikolaos, which stands out of the nearby cedar forest.A minimal linear approach in white and light grey tones and geometrical gestures framed by enchanting vistas are the main characteristics of the resort’s architectural design. White marble, non-processed timber, wicker canopies in both the interior and the exterior of the project are some of the carefully selected materials used, allowing for an open interaction with the natural landscape and the clear blue colour of the Aegean Sea. Within “Ikos Aria”, guests will lavish in an elegant, luxurious and peaceful vacation experience, enjoying the high-end amenities, services and facilities.
