Villa in Triantaros Tinos
KORDAS Architects
Placed in the heart of the traditional village of Triantaros in Tinos, villa ‘Phoebe’, one of the seven houses of the complex, basks in the steep topography and the panoramic view the site offers. In an attempt of integration to its surroundings, the complex is designed in line with the village’s architectural character and structure, as well as the experience of the regional everyday life.
On a functional level, the architectural proposal is illustrated as a small-scale version of the village, borrowing the typologies of interconnecting outdoor and semi outdoor patterns. Elements and layouts are highlighted; the relation of the houses’ interior to their surrounding spaces that serve as outdoor rooms, or the assemble of everyday activity around the external space that serves as a communal gathering spot, both a reference to regional architecture and lifestyle.
