Athens LifeTech Park

Τhe design starting point is based on the introduction of references, in relation to their interpretive metaphor, resulting from the analysis of the combined functions and Place. A key compositional choice was the invention of gestures that treat the building not strictly as a function, but as a set of multiple interactive experiences.

In this context, the notion of the "chromosome" ("X"), and respectively the "brain", as primary parts of any living organism, is allegorically incorporated in the processing of the "idea" through the fluidity/interaction of different space-units. An approach that argues that architectural space - as it is renewed, reused, transformed is neither "neutral" nor "inert", but in a dynamic state.

The project has been awarded the international architecture prize "Iconic Award Winner 2021" by the German Design Council.
