Summer House in Mani
Nestled at the foothills of Taygetus in Western Mani, between Kardamyli and Stoupa, the summer house offers a serene retreat with views of the turquoise waters of Foneas Bay. The design embraces the wild beauty of the rocky landscape, focusing on the sea view with the floor plan aligned along the East-West axis and with southern orientation.
The architectural study comprised of the major reconstruction of the existing residence and its surroundings. Upgrades included modernizing the building by removing all coverings, walls, and electromechanical installations, and adding small spaces on the ground and upper floors.
The ground floor houses the living room, dining area, kitchen, WC, and a room with an en suite bathroom, while the first floor features two rooms with en suite bathrooms. Interior design emphasizes natural materials like oak, iroko, and wicker, complemented by earthy shades and soft colors to create an intimate, elegant atmosphere.
